Dr Wasif Khan qualified from Guy’s Hospital, London, in 2000. Since then, he has been fortunate to work in various private and NHS practices and, at the same time, undertake a wide range of postgraduate training, including study at the Eastman Dental Institute.
Wasif has also held teaching posts at Manchester Dental Hospital, where he trained dental undergraduates, as well as training dental therapists in practice in conjunction with Liverpool Dental Hospital. Wasif’s main interests include general restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Wasif is a keen walker and likes to spend any spare time in the Lakes or Scottish hills. He also enjoys kayaking.
Dr Tehmeena Khan graduated from Manchester University in 1991, having completed pre-clinical studies at the London Hospital Medical College in Whitechapel.
She worked in general practice for seven years in Bolton before working part-time in Oxfordshire, whilst pursuing full-time education in Oriental Studies at Oxford University.
Dr Khan joined Holmes Chapel Dental Practice in 2007 and continues to update her knowledge with a commitment to continuing professional development. Her professional emphasis is on prevention, family dentistry and facial aesthetics.
In her spare time, Tehmeena enjoys going to the theatre and playing tennis and archery.
Jill Howell started her career as a dental nurse before training as a combined dental hygienist and dental therapist at the University of Liverpool, where she graduated with distinction in 2007. She enjoys all aspects of her role and regularly attends courses and conferences to keep up to date.
Jill is married with two children. She has carried out volunteer dentistry in Uganda, and is always on the go taking part in triathlons, walking, swimming and cycling. She has already walked Mount Toubkal in Morocco and climbed to Everest’s base camp. She next plans to cycle the length of France (879 miles) from Caen to Nice.
