Sometimes small changes to the appearance of your teeth can make a big difference to your overall smile. You might feel that your teeth need to be a more uniform shape or size, or have small fracture lines or gaps that need closing. Aesthetic recontouring or bonding are both minimally invasive techniques that we can use to enhance the appearance of your teeth.
We promise to welcome you into a caring and professional environment where we will listen with respect and respond to your concerns. Our approach is ethical and our prices are transparent, which means that we will give you a clear breakdown of your proposed treatment costs in advance, as well as all the information you need to make an informed decision.
Aesthetic recontouring is where we alter the size, length, shape or surface of a tooth by using special bonding materials which blend in to the form and colour of the tooth, or by minimal trimming.
Aesthetic recontouring is an alternative to more invasive cosmetic treatments such as crowns, veneers and braces. It uses a conservative approach to add balance and symmetry to your smile. Most aesthetic recontouring can be carried out in a single visit – you may not even need anesthesia.
With aesthetic recontouring, we may remove tiny amounts of your tooth enamel to eliminate any imperfections or subtly change the shape of a tooth. It may be necessary to trim your tooth, but we would not enter the inner sensitive areas of a tooth to do this. Once the tooth has been reshaped, we will polish it to give you a smooth finish.
Aesthetic recontouring is ideal if you have minor imperfections to your smile that you would like to improve. This might be:
Tooth bonding is a way of covering or masking any small flaws in your teeth. By sculpting, shaping and colouring a special material bonded to the front of your teeth, we can create a flawless finish. In conjunction with recontouring, we are able to improve the appearance of your teeth vastly, and with minimal intervention.
The length of the treatment will depend on your individual case and how many teeth need aesthetic recontouring or bonding. Once we have a clear idea of what needs to be done, we will discuss your treatment plan and the number of appointments needed.
